At University Hospitals Birmingham we are proud to offer all our doctors a comprehensive, well-planned, medical induction.
Induction enables our doctors to be familiar with their working environment and to undertake their job role efficiently and safely, and to provide excellent care for our patients.
The Trust is primarily composed of four main hospital sites:
- Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB)
- Heartlands Hospital (BHH)
- Good Hope Hospital (GHH)
- Solihull Hospital (SOL)
Regardless of your site, the induction programme is the same. It has the following four elements that you must complete (expand each section to find out more):
If you are having trouble accessing the 'Postgraduate Medical Education Dashboard' on Moodle, please email the team.
This induction package is mandatory, and we require all resident doctors to complete it either prior to commencement or within the first few days of joining the Trust.
Compliance with the resident doctor induction package is closely monitored, and non-compliance will be reported through the appropriate channels. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in completing this induction, and we hope that the information provided will assist you throughout your employment with the Trust.
If you have any additional questions about the resident doctors induction, please do not hesitate to email the team.
