Come and work in our new Heartlands Treatment Centre

Published on 06/10/2022

With the brand new Heartlands Treatment Centre (HTC) opening its doors to patients at Heartlands Hospital in January 2023, we are looking for people to come and join our friendly housekeeping team.

As part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, Heartlands Hospital is one of the leading hospital trusts in the UK, offering a wide range of career opportunities and staff benefits. Housekeeping is a critical role, ensuring that infection prevention and control measures are maintained, and patients receive care in a clean and safe environment.

The housekeeping vacancies offer potential candidates the flexibility to work in the new £97 million HTC, as well as in the wider hospital, from clinical areas such as theatres, to offices and other staff areas.

The HTC will provide state-of-the-art facilities under one roof, including outpatients, endoscopy, day case surgery and imaging services, and will serve nearly half a million patients each year. It will cover a 16,000m2 footprint, with each floor being around 3,600m2 – approximately half the size of the pitch at Wembley Stadium. The new build will provide a modern, spacious environment purpose-built to meet the needs of our patients with dementia-friendly and accessible design features.

Built to the highest construction and environmental standards, HTC will make use of sustainable features to reduce its carbon footprint. HTC will also deliver new ways of working and embrace the latest technologies, all whilst delivering the best possible care and high-quality specialist services.
