The Clinical Skills Centre is a separate building situated near the Treatment Centre Entrance.

Simulation Suite 1

The Clinical Skills Centre at Good Hope Hospital (GHH) has the following facilities:

Simulation Suite 1 & Audio Visual 1

A versatile simulation suite that can mimic various secondary care settings, most commonly set as a single-bedded space. Features a high-fidelity Laerdal SimMan3G manikin and a dedicated AV Control Room with one-way glass for observation and control. Includes a simulated telephone system for escalation scenarios.

Simulation Suite 2 & Audio Visual 2

Configured as a two-bedded simulation space with an adjacent control room equipped with one-way glass. Features a large screen display, ideal for small group teaching and interactive sessions.

Clinical Skills Lab 1

A multi-purpose teaching space with hospital beds suitable for manual handling sessions and part-task trainers for clinical skills. Includes a large screen display for visual aids.

Clinical Skills Lab 2

A compact teaching space with foldable workbenches and a large screen for visual aids. Commonly used for training in Phlebotomy and Cannulation.

Small group

Clinical Skills Lab 3

A medium-sized, flexible teaching space with AV linkage to both simulation suites. Often used as a debrief environment for simulation training sessions.

Harry Hollier Lecture Theatre

A dedicated lecture theatre with fixed seating, advanced AV equipment, and video conferencing capabilities. Connected to simulation suites for use as a debrief space. Named in honor of a local benefactor who supported medical teaching.

Large audience

    A control room with monitors showing video feeds and vital signs from a clinical simulation session. A mannequin is visible through the observation window.”
