Line managers should ensure that every member of staff is up-to-date with their manual handling training and complete a manual handling risk assessment.

Any areas of concern or recommendations identified on the risk assessment should be addressed at this point between the line manager and the member of staff.

If further advice is required regarding manual handling, please consider contacting or referring the member of staff into the Ergonomics team.
