Maternity leave
This section of the HR site provides advice on pregnancy and maternity leave for both staff and managers.
All pregnant employees have the right to 52 weeks maternity leave. Many of the maternity provisions are statutory or form part of the national terms and conditions of service.
The level of pay during maternity leave is dependent upon the member of staff’s NHS service and whether they intend to return to work.
