Faculty Development Programme

This two day programme is aimed at developing new facilitators skilled in delivering high fidelity simulation-based training.
On completing the programme all participants will be expected to join the Faculty and support a minimum of 4 simulation training days per year.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will develop an understanding of

  • Human factors and their impact on patient safety
  • How to design, script and run simulation scenarios
  • Effective team work
  • Advanced observational skills and de-briefing techniques
  • Enhancing learning in a non-threatening environment

Participants

The programme is suitable for staff involved in training from all professions – Doctors, Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals.
