Step 5: appeal
Staff have the right to appeal if a flexible working request is refused. To appeal the decision, please get in touch.
Deciding to appeal can be beneficial for all involved as it allows more individuals to review the request, including senior managers, who may be able to provide alternative solutions not previously considered.
An appeal meeting will be arranged where a Human Resources representative will be present. If the member of staff is in a trade union they may be accompanied by their representative.
The outcome from the appeal meeting is final.
