Here at University Hospitals Birmingham, we understand the unique challenges and opportunities that IMGs encounter. Our two-day bespoke IMG induction is designed to help you integrate into the NHS and provide you with an insight about the NHS culture, role of Multidisciplinary team (MDT) in delivering patient care in NHS. The induction is based on the recommendations of NHSE, General Medical Council and NHS employers.

Our comprehensive approach includes:

  • Locally Employed Representatives Support: Throughout the integration period and beyond, IMGs receive dedicated support from locally employed representatives and education team, who have navigated the IMG pathway themselves, offering invaluable insights and guidance.
  • Supervisor Support: We facilitate supervisor support within clinical settings, ensuring IMGs have the necessary support and mentorship to thrive in their
  • Pre-Employment Support: Our designated locally employed doctor medical resourcing team provides pre-employment support, ensuring all required components such as work visas, health clearances, and relevant qualifications are in place.
  • Social Network Offerings: We foster a supportive social network, offering platforms like WhatsApp groups and wellbeing hubs where IMGs can connect, share experiences, and access additional support and
